Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting and onboarding new growers to establish productive partnerships.
- Collecting soil samples for analysis.
- Budgeting and distributing inputs.
- Managing the parent seed program.
- Calibrating equipment and preparing land for timely planting of seed crops.
- Monitoring seed planting ratios.
- Overseeing weed management.
- Providing agronomic support services to contracted growers.
- Conducting inspections to manage pests and diseases in the seed crops.
- Strategizing and monitoring the detasseling process in seed maize.
- Overseeing harvesting and seed deliveries to the factory.
- Organizing inspections.
- Collecting seed samples for laboratory processes.
- Monitoring seed storage at farms.
- Managing grower relations on behalf of the company.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, or a related field.
- 5 “O” Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
