Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems/faulty Hanchu products, warranty and service issues that arise with: modules, inverters, batteries, EV components, and all system components to ensure maximum system performance.
- Attend to installation sites as requested from time to time.
- Inspecting, repairing, and safely replacing high-voltage battery packs, inverters, and electric motors.
- Utilize advanced digital diagnostic tools and specialized laptops to interpret system data, clear trouble codes, and isolate electrical faults.
- Operate under strict electrical safety protocols (using high-voltage safety gear, insulated tools, and lockout/tagout kits).
- Troubleshoot onboard charging modules and test public/home EV charging infrastructure compatibility.
- Keep all appointments as scheduled, confirm attendance and seek to optimize field time efficiently.
- Prepare the site for works to completion and allocate duties to supporting team including tailboard meetings on safety procedures before work commencement.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and interact directly with Hanchu Energy Zim customers.
- Record and submit daily paperwork associated with serviced or newly installed systems.
- Ensure a high degree of workmanship as service and warranty work are completed.
- Perform other needed job tasks as requested by Management such as assisting sales team, warehouse team, stock-take, deliveries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EV system issues, flash and update vehicle firmware, and calibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Keep accurate service records and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Electrical, Electronics or related field.
- Experience in after-sales or technical support (solar industry and/or EV industry is an advantage).
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Knowledge of solar systems: modules, inverters, batteries, BMS, EMS, PCS and other components.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and high-voltage safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Able to use diagnostic tools and computer systems.
