Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic planning

⦁ Lead in the designing and developing of the Finance strategy in lire with OAG’s corporate goals ard objectives.
⦁ Oversee the deveepment ard implementation of finance polces and systems in acco-dacce with the finance strategy.
⦁ Lead n corporate strategic planning and budgeting and develop finance annual pans and Cudgels.
⦁ Review adherence to the cudgets and report variance with necessary explanations Management ano Firancia Accounting Reports
⦁ Assist with the review of guidelines and collation of informat on for Cudgel forecast preparation
⦁ Oversee the oroduccon of timety and accurate management accounts and financial statements, reports and schedules as required.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely reconciliation statements as required
⦁ Take the ead in the re-view and maintenance of the integrity of the computerized accounting system
⦁ Monitor and ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are complied with.
⦁ Oversee the documentaton ard maintenance of complete and accurate supporting information for al financial transactions
⦁ Approve the financial accosting system for casn management, accounts payable, accounts receivable credit control and petty cash
⦁ Ensure that employees’ payroJ and financial irtomiation is secure and stored in compliance with current egislatirxi anc OAG policies and guidelines.

Project Management

⦁ Oversee the planning of all projects in the OAG and ensure the achievement o’ the organizational mandate
⦁ Oversee the preparation of al project budgets and ensure that they are m line veth theOAGguideines.
⦁ Oversee the implementation dal approved projects in the OAG.
Administration
⦁ Set policies and procedures for the administrative activities of OAG and monito- compliance
⦁ Oversee the management of fleet for ensuring the principle of economy and efficiency.
⦁ Monitor and ensure that the safety and tega’ requirements related to the fleet management are fully complied with.

Strategic Planning

Support co-p orate strategic planning and budgeting and develop HR annual plans and budgets
.• Develop the HR strategy in lire wth OAG’s corporate goals and objectives.
⦁ Develop plans and policies to ensure that the OAG attracts, retains, and motivates staff in lire with corporate reeds.
⦁ Supervise die development of Annual Operational Plans and budget for the HR function and, monitor and ensure effective implementation.
⦁ Facilitate the effective functioning of Human Resource Advisory Committee
Recruitment and Talent Management
Develop a succession plan for all maregement posit ons for smoclh transit on and continuity cf the OAG.
⦁ Lead in the implementation of the recruitment policy of the organization to timely support the -various departments
⦁ Review the strategic HR needs of OAG and develop a sourang ard talent management plan.
⦁ Review workforce gap reports,’requests from decartments and approve the pan Io* recruitment.
⦁ Provide a lead in the recruitment of Top Management Positions in OAG.

Staff Development

⦁ Look into the current talent neeSs for the future and establish systems
⦁ Develop, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the train ng and development programs.
Staff Discipline and Grievance Management ⦁ Promote the organisation values and adherence to the Code of Conduct and compliance with applicable aws and best practices by al staff across the organisation.
⦁ A top management on staff discipline and courses of action in line with other HR legislations.
⦁ Guide the top management and staff h the interpretation of responding and dealing with discipline and grievance issues in a legally compliant and professional way

Performance Management

⦁ Provide advice to top management and staff in the interpretation of HR policies and dealing with disccline and grievance issues n a legally compliant and professional way.
⦁ Promote a performance focused culture n OAG and facilitate in rewarding good performance
⦁ Establish systems and polces that cascade corporate objectives for creating performance targets with staff at all levels and monitor implementation.
⦁ Lead the Human Resource team in delivering effective and effeient staff performances in accordance with the HR Strategy.
⦁ Establish app’opnate polices ‘or oblaning the besl performarvoe of staff. Promote the culture of peocle development across the organisation where the line managers train, coach ano ccordmale performance management of the teams unde- their watch.
⦁ Prorate strategic and supervisory eadership to the department and lead in the implementation of the performance management and Human Resources practices of the OAG
Qualifications
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. BusinessAdminstration. Accounting Finance, or any related field majoring in Accounting frem a recognized institution.
⦁ Full Professional qualification; AOCA. CPA. CIMA. CAZ and CIS

Experience

⦁ 10 years’ experience in the corporate public service management sector. 5 of which should

be at management level.
