ZIMBABWE FOREIGN SERVICE INSTITUTE (Vacancy 1)
Position: Administrative Officer (Training) x2
Reports To: Deputy Director Training
Station: Harare (Zimbabwe Foreign Service Institute)
Responsibilities:

Assists in induction/introductory courses for new Foreign Service officers;

Assists in diplomatic courses for mid-career Foreign Service officers;
-
Assists the Deputy Director to identify and assess training and development need;
-
Works in close cooperation with stakeholders such as the Examination Board, ZIPAM and the University of Zimbabwe to develop competitive curricula;
-
Assist in the development of training modules and other learning materials;
-
Compiles and maintains a database on resource personnel;
-
Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals, and consultation with Ministries, Department and Agencies;

Develop and oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals;
-
Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results;

Deliver training courses;

Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into Diplomats/ employees’ work behavior;

Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes;
-
Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in Diplomacy development.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
-
A minimum of a BSC degree in Education, History & International Relations Training, Politics & Diplomacy, Human Resources Management or related field;
-
Strong analytical skills to assess training needs, evaluate training outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to improve effectiveness;
-
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation;
-
Experience with e-learning platforms;
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear and effective delivery of training materials and instructions;
-
Proven work experience as a Lecturer, Training Officer, Training Facilitator or similar role added advantage;
-
At least 2 years experience.
