Action Contre la Faim is a registered charity, founded in 1979. Action Contre la Faim operates to combat hunger on four fronts: nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation. In Zimbabwe, Action Contre la Faim started operations in 2003 and has been actively involved in Water & Sanitation, Food Security and Nutrition initiatives in Midlands, Manicaland, Masvingo, Mashonaland Central and Matebeleland South provinces.
The organisation is seeking to fill the following vacancy:
Administrative Graduate Intern

 

Duties And Responsibilities

Mission 1:
Under the guidance of the Head of HR Ensure administrative follow-up of local staff
 File documents in the staff files ;
 Ensure that staff sign for all relevant codes, policies after they are shared with them
 Come up with a staff database and perform monthly updates ;
 Update various HR statistics based on the available staff data
 Update, register and provide staff lists for insurance purposes ;
 Support the organisation of all staff meetings, taking of minutes and keeping a tracker of
all HR issues coming out of the meetings
Mission 2: Under guidance of the Head of HR, support the performance of other Human Resources functions:
 Support the payroll processing as assigned
 Take part in the recruitment process – advertising, interview scheduling, preparation for
test
 Take part in industrial relations activities
 Take part in the practical organisation of training (schedules, organisation of travels etc).
Mission 3: Under the guidance of the Head of Finance, take part in the financial management of the mission:
 Manage the advance cash and update the cash ledger ;
 Pay salary advances and monthly salaries ;
 Check and reimburse medical expenses;
 Issue advances to the logistics specialist for purchases ;
 Check invoices (format, purchase voucher validity) and make payments ;
 Codify the invoices and apply them to the corresponding budget.
 Establish a connection between ledger, documents and physical counting ;
 Close the cash account every month (counting, printing).
 Support the review of partner documents 

Qualifications And Experience

Levels of studies and experience
 A Graduate with a Degree/HND in Human Resources; Administration, Finance or other related qualifications
 One year work related learning with a reputable organisation

 An IPMZ Qualification is an added advantage

 A keen learner
 Good organizer
 Sense of confidentiality
 Computer skills (excel and word)
 Good knowledge of English – spoken and written 
Area of Operation
 Harare Length of Contract
