Accountable and reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of books of accounts using Pastel and also providing administrative and secretarial support to the Bible School. The incumbent should have the ability to work with all members of staff
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Writing of the cash book and preparing the bank reconciliation.
2. Posting receipts and invoices to the debtors and creditors ledger.
3. Performing daily backups on all posting done.
4. Maintenance of the computer hardware and software & updating the computer logbook.
5. Scrutinizing and posting journal entries to the nominal ledger.
6. Completing of the payroll and salaries journal.
7. Producing the trial balance monthly.
8. Monitoring the creditor’s position of the school.
9. To administer the maintenance of timesheets.
10. To update the fixed asset register (manual or computer).
11. To perform any other duties assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications And Experience
1. Degree in Accounting or Finance or Professional Qualification in Accounting such as CIMA part 2 or ACCA
2. Knowledge and experience in using Pastel.
3. 2 years accounting experience.
