Job Summary

We are looking for an organized and experienced Accountant to be based at a Mining operation, close to Harare.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Strategy implementation
  • Maintain effective financial and operational controls
  • Maintain an accurate and complete record of financial transactions
  • Update and maintain the general ledger including reconciliations and reports
  • Budgeting and effective cost management in line with projected budgets
  • Financial and management reports
  • Audits, Tax and Regulatory compliance
  • Mine cash flow budgeting and cash management
  • Manage mining inventories and fixed assets
  • Lead and supervise junior staff

Qualifications And Experience

• Solid and proven mining experience in a similar role (5 years minimum)
  • Knowledge of accounting and accounting standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting packages
  • Data capturing skills and high attention to detail
  • Professionalism and organizational leadership skills
  • Accounting Diploma/Degree and relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage
