Vacancy : ACCOUNTANT – FACULTIES AND INSTITUTES
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily supervision of the Faculties and Institutes Accounting Function
- Preparation of Faculties and Institutes Financial Statements on a monthly basis and timeously
- Liaison with Faculties and Institutes on issues related to their finances and budgets
- Recommend Internal Control Systems improvements in Faculties and Institutes’ financial operations
- Preparation of faculties and Institutes monthly variance analysis reports
- Assist in the Budget Preparation Process
- Ensuring proper safekeeping of all accounting records
- Any other duties as assigned by the Bursar or Deputy Bursar
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- A degree in Accounting from a reputable University
- Possession of a professional Accounting Qualification
- Masters’ Degree in Accounting would be an added advantage
- • Extensive Practical knowledge of Pastel Evolution Accounting System
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position / role
- Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
