JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the full accounting and financial control function for Lightning Ship Zimbabwe Team. This role reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer.

Responsibilities

Reporting

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of quarterly packs for Group Reporting
• Preparation of the annual financial statements
• Complete consolidated financial reporting and analysis that adds value and insight for the business

Finance Operations

• Preparation of the monthly and adhoc payments
  -Processing of month end entries for stocks, accounts payables, accounts receivables, payroll, assets and investments
  -Compiling detailed ledger reconciliations and investigations of reconciling items
  -Preparation of required documentation by the CFO on an adhoc basis

Commercial Support

• Costing for pricing and margin protection of the company products and categories
• Lead the process of content writing on the online store ensuring quality and accurate product and price display

Internal Controls

• Providing information as required by both internal and external auditors
• Ensure revenue, stocks and assets are protected through instituting the right frameworks for the control environment
• Contribute to the management and enhancement of systems, processes and procedures to increase operational efficiencies

Experience and Qualifications

• Accounting degree with Articles
• CIMA, CPA, ACCA membership
• 3-5 years relevant accounting and controlling experience in FMCG
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices
• Auditing experience advantageous
• Power BI experience would be advantageous
