Gender and Advocacy Officer (Harare): ActionAid Zimbabwe

The Gender and Advocacy Officer position aims at supporting integration of a gendered perspective to project work to ensure that gender is mainstreamed and strengthened. The position supports the project to guide design and implement gender advocacy strategies to ensure the development and delivery of strategic and impactful advocacy. The officer will support the project M&E Manager to design and implement a gender inclusive and sensitive monitoring and evaluation framework and approach and ensure gender-related learning informs ongoing planning.
Requirements
At least a bachelor’s degree in Gender & Development studies, Sociology, Development studies, or related studies; A Master’s Degree in related studies will be an added advantage; At least 5 years proven and progressive experience working on Advocacy, gender and women empowerment issues; Ability to build the capacity of staff and partners to deliver advocacy work; Good networking and alliance building skills; Excellent communicator orally and in writing; Innovative, self-driven and team player; Willingness to travel to remote areas within the program areas
