A local NGO seeks to appoint a Finance Assistant to work in a vibrant and dynamic finance and administration department.
The following are the duties for this position
Data capturing and processing using Sage Pastel; Processing of payments; Conducting banking for the organisation; Filing and ensuring all journals, payment and petty cash vouchers have sufficient supporting documents; Cash on hand management; VAT claims processing; Follow-up on staff advances and liquidations; Undertaking general clerical duties such as dealing with correspondence, filing and photocopying; Support in the preparation of monthly reports; Any other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the organisation
Qualifications & experience
A diploma/degree in accounting, finance or any related field, Sage Pastel experience a must, at least 2 years NGO work experience, a clean class four driver’s licence and proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL spreadsheet software is required.
