Job Summary
A permanent opportunity for a Balance Sheet Bookkeeper/Accountant has arisen within an organisation specializing in providing corporate finance/advisory services and accounting services with some company secretarial responsibilities. The successful candidate will be required to start immediately.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Data capture of client accounting information into SAGE 200 Evolution – including payments, receipts, income, expenses, loan accounts etc.
2. Perform weekly/monthly reconciliations of client bank accounts, loan accounts and other control accounts
3. Preparation of monthly management accounts for clients for review by Partner
4. Prepare of and submission of monthly PAYE, VAT and withholding tax returns for clients – ensuring electronic copies of each are saved to Dropbox and a monthly/annual register is kept
5. Maintaining accounts receivable and payable
6. Inventory control
7. Maintenance of fixed asset register
8. Reviewing the Zimra Portal to check that all returns have been successfully uploaded and confirmed as to having been committed on the Zimra e-filing portal
9. Monitoring clients Zimra emails
10. Managing tax clearance certificates for all clients and updating the registers
11. Submission of statutory returns for clients ensuring submissions, payments etc are done timeously
12. Preparation and submission of quarterly QPD’s for all clients after Partner review
13. Preparation of annual financial statements for review by Partner
14. Submission of annual tax returns – ITF12C, ITF12C2, ITF16’s
15. Preparation of monthly billing and raising of invoices – including fiscalising invoices and running Z Reports
16. Payroll management for clients (Belina) including the preparation of all monthly statutory reports

Qualifications And Experience
The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, an in-depth knowledge of SAGE 200 Evolution and Belina plus at least 3/4 years relevant accounting experience. A professional accounting qualification such CIMA/ACCA will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should have good time management skills, be highly detail oriented, organized and have an ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from the Partners.
