Role Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our client in the food and agriculture industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy and compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares accurate financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Maintains sound internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Assists in preparing annual budgets and financial plans.
- Prepares and submits tax returns and statutory obligations in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Oversees supplier payments and customer invoicing processes.
- Reviews financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Experience within the agriculture or agribusiness sector will be an added advantage.
