We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Portfolio Manager to join our investment team. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage investment strategies aligned with client objectives and risk tolerance.
- Monitor and rebalance portfolios to ensure adherence to investment policies and market conditions.
- Conduct thorough analysis of asset classes, sectors, and securities to optimise portfolio performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing regular updates on portfolio performance and market insights.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and grow assets under management.
- Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations to clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate investment strategies, performance reports, and market outlooks in a professional and accessible manner.
- Lead and mentor the research team, providing guidance on equity, fixed income, and macroeconomic analysis.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, risk metrics, and compliance for management and clients.
Requirements
- A first Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Banking, Economics, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, or a related role within the asset management industry.
- Proven track record of managing investment portfolios and achieving performance targets.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments, and regulatory frameworks in Zimbabwe.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CIS, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
