The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing inventory transactions in SAP, reconciling physical stock, and supporting finance and logistics teams with daily reporting and month-end inventory closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely GRN in SAP against invoices / BL
- Validate quantity, weight & documents
- Track inter-location stock transfers
- Ensure STO / transfer postings in SAP
- Monitor transit inventory and closures
- Daily updating of receipts, issues & transfers
- Ensure no back-dated or missing postings
- Coordinate with depot & logistics teams
- Reconcile physical vs SAP stock
- Support cycle counts & physical verification
- Daily stock movement reports
- Port, warehouse & depot stock status
- Support management MIS & dashboards
- Prepare inventory schedules for month-end
- Support audit queries & documentation
- Ensure clean inventory closing
- Coordinate with finance, logistics & depots
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Business Finance, ACCA, CIS and CIMA or any equivalent qualification
- 4 years’ experience in the accounting field
- Experience with SAP is an added advantage
