Students Accountant (1 Post) – Harare Institute of Technology
Full Time
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have an Accounting Degree, Full CIS, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification;
Membership of a professional Accounting Board would be an added advantage;
At least four (4) years relevant working experience in a university environment;
Knowledge of accounting software, especially Pastel Evolution and Ndarama ERP;
Familiarity with the IPSAS reporting standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Management of fees ordinances;
Invoicing of all registered students in Ndarama ERP;
Management of scholarships;
Clearing students for registration and graduation;
Invoicing of all enrolled students;
Designing and reviewing internal controls for student section;
Preparing audit schedules, semester reconciliation, bank reconciliation, monthly debtors analysis schedule, monthly schedule of outstanding loans and scholarship funds, student statements at the end of each semester and preparing monthly student direct deposit schedule;
Planning and convene Fees Revision committee meetings;
Supervising staff in the student accounts sections;
Any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
