Probfix Financial Services is looking for a results-driven Recoveries Officer to join our Head Office team in Harare. Reporting directly to the Credit and Risk Manager, this role is critical in ensuring effective arrears management and implementing robust loan recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively locate and engage delinquent borrowers and guarantors via calls, written communication, and field visits

Independently enforce repayment or secure loan collateral in line with company policies

Monitor daily arrears reports and client repayment commitments

Provide training and support to Business Development Officers (BDOs) on recovery techniques

Liaise with external debt collectors and legal departments, tracking recovery progress on assigned cases

Develop and implement efficient recovery strategies to minimize bad debt

Prepare and submit regular reports on overdue accounts and collection performance

Stay updated on industry standards, regulatory requirements, and legal frameworks related to loan recovery
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in collections or loan recoveries, preferably in Microfinance or SME Lending
-
Familiarity with Reserve Bank regulations related to microfinance institutions
-
Strong understanding of litigation processes and debt enforcement
-
Proven track record in debt recovery and client negotiation
-
Good reporting and IT skills (Microsoft Office)

A valid Class 4 driver’s licence is required
