Resource Mobilization Officer: Young Africa International
Starting date: 1 August 2019
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the above position which has arisen within an International NGO present in Zimbabwe. This is a one-year contract (with 3 months’ probation). Prospects of contract renewal are dependent on resource availability and individual performance, particularly meeting job targets. The purpose of the position is to lead resource mobilization/fundraising/proposal writing work of the organization.
Summary of duties
Document resource requirements and prepare resource mobilisation strategy and plan for the organization; perform donor intelligence for the organization and its affiliates; expand the organization’s donor network and explore relevant consortia; write project proposals; participate in project monitoring and providing technical guidance to project implementation; support preparation of donor reports; capacity building the organization’s affiliates (implementing partners) in resource mobilisation and proposal writing.
Profile of candidate
At least a Master’s degree in international development or any relevant social science; at least 10 years of progressive experience in resource mobilisation and fundraising; at least 5 years of experience in project implementation and monitoring; experience in youth work, education and/or livelihoods-focused education programming; proven track-record of fundraising for development projects; traceable experience of writing successful funding proposals for small and big funding agencies.

Salary
Comparable to those of local Zimbabwean NGO. Open to Zimbabwean residents only
