The Procurement Intern will be responsible for assisting the Procurement Officer in developing and maintaining a coordinated approach towards procurement and contract management in compliance with all statutes and regulations so as Africaid’s policies and procedures pertaining to these areas. Seeking value for money, relationship and performance management of suppliers and offering advice on all areas of the organisation’s purchasing and contract activity. To also assist with fleet management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply; Supply Chain Management with 2-3 years’ working experience purchasing for USAID-funded organizations; Strong software skills including extensive experience with Excel and Word required; Ability to prioritize tasks; Strong organizational skills; Ability to work collaboratively with program, finance and operations staff toward the achievement of project and organization objectives helpful; Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening, presentation and facilitation
