HANDYMAN
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Handyman, which has arisen in our Institute.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend to all reported maintenance faults
• Maintain., adequate stocks of maintenance consumables
• Reports ZESA and ZINWA faults as soon as possible
• Report, acts of theft and vandalism to management and security
• Maintains sewer ponds
• Ensures that gullies and drains are kept free from debris
• Repairs and maintains all electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry installations of the Institute and staff residences
• Troubleshoots general maintenance problems
• Prepare annual preventive maintenance plan for all facilities
• General maintenance of the Institute
• Supervision of subordinates
Qualifications and Experience
• 5’O’ Levels including Maths and English
• Class 4 Driver’s License
• HND in Electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering OR Plumbing
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• An all-rounder able to carry out general maintenance work
• Must be able to work Independently and keep clear and accurate records.
• Must be able to discover and diagnose problems to do with maintenance
