About the Organisation

Youth Forum Zimbabwe is a non-profit making organization that was formed in August 2004. It was formed as a response to the social exclusion of youth in political processes in Zimbabwe. The overall aim of the Youth Forum Zimbabwe is to enhance youth participation and empowerment in policy-dialogue and political decision-making. Youth Forum Zimbabwe is a membership-based, mandate-driven organization led by; and for the young people in Zimbabwe. Its members are passionate and committed to amplifying and strengthening the voice of the Zimbabwean youth within the political landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities

Organizes trainings, roundtables, networking events and other activities to achieve the goal of the organization; Responsible for writing innovative project proposals, activity and project reports; Assembles and authors training curricula for organizational projects with the help of consultants; Develops work plans, budgets and progress reports as required by management and other partners; Represents Youth Forum to NGO partners, government officials, funding sources, other partners, beneficiaries, and at conferences and other outreach opportunities; Ensures monitoring and evaluation activities and reporting meet Youth Forum standards and are completed on schedule; Responsible for implementing activities in accordance with project or activity budgets

Person specifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Administration or any Social Science related field; Minimum of 5 years of experience working with youth in democracy and governance; Passionate about working with and for young people; Strong communication skills in English; Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Willingness to travel 25% of more to field locations
