ActionAid Zimbabwe is working with a consortium of NGOs and private partners (COSV, Mercy Corps, Braford Investments, Shamiso Farms, Zvikomborero Farms and Michview Entreprise) to support the Zimbabwe Agricultural Growth Programme in the area of Goat and Pig value chain transformation. Staff recruited to this programme will be based in Harare and will implement activities throughout Zimbabwe.
The postholder will oversee the transformation of the Goat and Pig Value Chains in Zimbabwe through the implementation of project activities. He/she will report to Consortium Partners through a Steering Committee, be responsible for Donor reporting and project staff management.
Requirements
A minimum of 6 years’ project related experience is required together with a relevant degree and a Masters in Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Value Chain Development, Agricultural Extension, Agribusiness or a related field.
Other Competences
- Experience in managing donor-funded development projects of a comparable size (+6 Million);
- Experience in value chain analysis of livestock and meat production systems for quality livestock and meat marketing;
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, donors, community stakeholders, partner organisations and private-sector service providers;
- Demonstrated leadership skills, specifically team performance management.
