QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Womens Studies, Gender Studies, Law or related fields.
Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience within the human rights funding mechanism, grant making, philanthropic, international relations or NGO sector – especially women’s rights sector; Passionate about UAF-Africas mission, committed to teamwork, and achieving results; A demonstrated commitment to women’s human rights and/or social justice; Knowledge and familiarity with grant making processes and procedures; Strong feminist conceptualization and analytical skills; Excellent command of written and oral skills; Strong familiarity with social media philanthropy advocacy and activism; Detailed knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google computer applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides; Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Excellent time management skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities and reprioritizing tasks as needed; Close attention to detail and accuracy; personal initiative; reliability, flexibility and follow-up; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; Ability to distil complex and detailed information into an accessible and approachable writing style; Excellent interpersonal skills; Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
