Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance activities and technical projects, ensuring efficient operations, resource utilisation and timely resolution of technical challenges.
  • Oversee electrical distribution systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, standby power, HVAC, precision cooling and air-conditioning systems across offices, data centres, vaults and critical facilities.
  • Lead electrical, electronic and HVAC installations, upgrades and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections, technical audits and condition assessments and develop engineering standards, procedures and best practices to ensure safety, compliance, reliability and service efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend equipment, systems and resources that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Manage technical budgets, asset lifecycles and capital projects, using CMMS and other facilities management tools to monitor asset performance, maintenance history and lifecycle costs.
  • Identify training needs and develop staff competencies; prepare technical reports and advise Senior Management on technical matters and improvement initiatives, while leading technical teams and supporting mission-critical assignments and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline from a recognised university.
  • At least five (5) years of post-qualification experience in electrical, electronic, HVAC, building services or facilities engineering, including a minimum of three (3) years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience in managing electrical distribution systems, backup power systems, HVAC installations, building automation systems and other critical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, consultants and service providers within large and complex organisations.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical safety standards, building regulations, energy management practices and business continuity requirements.
  • Experience working in high-security and mission-critical environments will be an added advantage.
