The Programme Manager – Fundraising and Partnerships is a dual-responsibility role designed to drive both effective programme execution and organizational growth. The role will actively seek to contribute to the growth of Musasa’s income and funding base by advising on donor engagement, coordinating programme development and securing institutional funding. Simultaneously, the Manager will provide strategic leadership, oversight and coordination to ensure that programmes are implemented with high quality, on time and within budget. The Programme Manager will be a Member of the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and innovative leadership to the Programme Team to ensure project progress and address implementation risks.
- Design, manage and execute a comprehensive annual implementation plan for the organisation’s programme portfolio.
- Provide overall project oversight, mentoring and coordination to regional and district programme staff.
- Establish and maintain strong relations with implementing partners, government stakeholders and collaborating partners.
- Identify and monitor funding opportunities and advise on donor engagement and funding development.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality grant proposals, concept notes and partnership applications.
- Ensure compliance with donor rules and Musasa’s internal grant management, finance and programming policies.
- Facilitate knowledge management, learning and capacity strengthening across programmes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Development Studies, International Development, Social Sciences, Programme Management or any related field.
- Master’s degree is desirable.
- Progressive experience in programme management, strategic planning, staff supervision, proposal writing and donor relations.
- Experience in donor relationship management, strategic portfolio analysis and planning.
- Understanding of institutional funding in development, humanitarian and private-sector contexts.
- Corporate engagement experience is desirable.
- Financial and data analysis and presentation.
- Donor engagement and strong communication skills.
- Influencing, negotiating and coaching skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, databases and internet literacy.
