Key Responsibilities

  • Feed and provide clean drinking water to all birds twice daily.
  • Monitor the health, growth and overall condition of poultry.
  • Report any illnesses, injuries or mortalities immediately.
  • Administer basic medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in poultry houses and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor feed usage and assist with stock management.
  • Support the sale and handling of live birds when required.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, an Ordinary Level qualification with relevant practical poultry experience will be considered.
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in poultry keeping, preferably in broiler or layer management.
  • Experience in live bird sales is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of poultry health, feeding and biosecurity practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
