Faculty Marketing Liaison And Communications Officer (X 4 Posts)
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:-
• Market all Faculty programmes
• Forge mutually beneficial relationships with the business community, prepare MOUs with other Universities, Community, Industry and Commerce
• Mobilize resources to support teaching, learning and research activities for the Faculty
• Write, edit, disseminate publicity material and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicate the Faculty’s activities, products and services
• Negotiate with partners for Industrial Attachment opportunities for undergraduate students
• Follow up on, assess the welfare of Industrial Attachment students and address any administrative problems that might arise
• Lobbying and participating in consultative forums that efficiently address industrial attachment/ internship issues
• Creating and maintaining databases for students and their placements (Current and Alumni)
• Formulate the marketing and communication strategy in sync with the University’s strategic plan
• Assist in all communications protocol in the Faculty and beyond
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Dean
Qualifications and Experience
The position requires an individual with: –
• Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Media and Communication Studies or equivalent from a reputable Institution
• Master’s degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage
• At least four years’ post qualification experience in a communications or marketing role
• Must be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Applicants should be able to think creatively and possess excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
