JOB DESCRIPTION
Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons to the post of WORKS TECHNICIAN (GRADE 9) which has arisen within the Chirumanzu Rural District Council Town Board Committee.
DUAL REPORTING TO: THE TOWN BOARD ADMIN AND EXECUTIVE OFFICER ENGINEERING.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carrying out Engineering Surveying for the Town Board
- Preparing of engineering drawings for the Town Board
- Programming, supervising and reporting of construction and maintenance activities
- Producing weekly and monthly progress reports on ongoing projects
- Supervision of road maintenance activities, water and sewer
- Overseeing the building inspectorate and giving reports and recommendation to the Civil Engineer
- Designing and construction supervision of projects.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
The person should
- Be a holder of a National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Be computer literate
- At least 3 years working experience
- Relevant experience and possession of a clean Class 4 driver’s license are distinct advantages
- A clean record of service without any previous convictions.
- A clean criminal record supported with police cleared fingerprints
