Roles and Responsibilities
- Assists in assembling of components as per fabrication drawing.
- Welds components for the production process as per production schedule.
- Manages and controls the quality processes for ALL welding work assigned, ensuring that volume and quality targets are met on an ongoing basis.
- Liaises with workshop foreman to ensure that inbound production materials are delivered within the stipulated times, quantities, and quality specifications.
- Carries out quality control inspections for work welded.
- Implements actions to correct welding rework due to quality errors timely.
- Carries out work according to working instructions and standard operating procedures for ALL Operations activities.
- Assists the workshop foreman by providing the necessary information to facilitate procurement of the desired raw materials.
Qualifications And Experience
- Apprentice trained Welder (Class One), Coded Welder or industry trained Welder with minimum 3 years’ work experience
- National Certificate in an Engineering field or Equivalent
