Water And Sanitation Engineer
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Engineering Services
Key Result Areas:
• Planning, design, construction and maintenance of water supply systems, including source development, treatment. storage and distribution, as well as any other (WASH) works in accordance with planned schedules
• Maintenance of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) municipal infrastructure for enhanced socio-economic development.
• Successful implementation of PSIP and multi-donor funded water and sanitation rehabilitation projects.
• Development and sustained update of Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) for the delivery of WASH infrastructure.
• Initiation of WASH related capital project proposals and submission of acquittals and requirements to guarantee funding and successful project implementation.
• Preparation and reporting of rehabilitation and maintenance programs and problems encountered.
• Thorough supervision of subordinate staff to provide efficient service
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications and Attributes:
• A Degree in Civil Engineering, Water and Sanitation Engineering or Cs equivalent.
• At least 5 years working experience in Government,
• Development Agencies or Local Authority environment.
• Membership to the Zimbabwe institute of Engineers a must
• Be at least 28 years of age.
• Possession of a clean class 4 driver’s licence a must.
• Membership of the Zimbabwe Municipal Engineers Association would be an added advantage.
