Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the above position that has arisen in the Warehouse Department based at Sparkling Beverages, Graniteside Plant  Harare.

Warehouse Supervisor (GRADE E)

The Job

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful applicant will be, among other key challenging aspects, responsible for:

• Optimising Warehouse performance in space utilisation, receipt and issuing of stocks and ensuring availability in the system.
• Ensuring proper stock rotation, managing loss and waste and supervising forklift operations.
• Performing Warehouse administration functions through available administration systems, compiling daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.
• Optimising team performance through facilitating team dynamics, implementing performance management, communicating effectively, and developing self and team members.
• Participating in the formulation and controlling of Warehouse budgets.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment through application and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.

The Person

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Degree in Commerce, Business Studies, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
• Professional qualification in Logistics. Purchasing & Supply or equivalent an added advantage.
• At least three years’ experience at supervisory level in an FMCG environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP or any other stock management computer system.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be very analytical, with good problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Safety, Health &Environmental Management systems (IS045001, IS014001 & NOSA)
• Must be honest, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
