Job brief

The National Association of Social Workers Zimbabwe is membership-based organisation that seeks to promote the welfare of social workers. The organisation is looking for an experienced Program Coordinator to manage the day to day running of the association

Program Coordinator responsibilities include:

Coordinate mobilisation and registration of NASW-Z membership across all structures and branches; Coordinate implementation of the organisations resource mobilisation and publicity strategy; Contribute to project proposal development process; Oversee planning and organizing of the program resources and activities; Oversee implementation of organisational policies and systems; Supervise and mentor program staff; Develop budget and track expenditures in line with organisational policies; Develop and maintain partnership with stakeholder community e.g. Government, Council of Social Workers, IFSW, schools of social work, NGOs etc; Coordinate maintenance of the organisations information management system; Generate periodic reports and presenting them to National Executive Committee

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; Masters degree in related field is an added advantage

Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams; Excellent time-management and organizational skills; Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; Proven experience as program coordinator or relevant position; Experience in application of results based management systems; Detail-oriented and efficient
