Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and produce professional video content for marketing campaigns, social media, corporate communications, events, and promotional activities.
  • Operate and maintain cameras, lighting equipment, audio systems, stabilizers, and other production tools.
  • Capture high-quality footage in studio and on-location environments while maintaining brand standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative concepts, storyboards, and production plans.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with M&J Africa’s visual identity, messaging, and communication objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage production schedules, locations, equipment, and filming logistics.
  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging, and professional final content.
  • Apply colour correction, sound design, motion graphics, transitions, subtitles, and visual enhancements where required.
  • Produce content optimized for multiple platforms including websites, social media, presentations, and digital campaigns.
  • Manage video file organization, backups, archives, and version control.
  • Deliver projects within agreed timelines while maintaining high production quality.
  • Review and refine content based on stakeholder feedback and campaign requirements.
  • Generate innovative video concepts and creative ideas to enhance audience engagement and brand visibility.
  • Support marketing initiatives through visual storytelling and multimedia content creation.
  • Stay updated on emerging video trends, editing techniques, social media formats, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to translate business goals into compelling visual content.
  • Assist in producing photography and multimedia assets where required.
  • Maintain consistency across all visual outputs and brand communications.
  • Organize and maintain the company’s media library and production assets.
  • Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on audience engagement and campaign outcomes.

Requirements

  • Currently studying Media, Film, Videography, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Passionate about videography, photography, and visual storytelling.
  • Basic knowledge of camera operation, video recording, lighting, and sound.
  • Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut is an advantage.
  • Creative and able to develop engaging ideas for video content.
  • Good understanding of social media content and digital platforms.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced videographers and creative teams.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
