Key Responsibilities
- Oversee academic training by supervising curriculum implementation.
- Managing internal and external examination process.
- Aligning academic policies with national standards.
- Reviewing existing policies, strategies and procedures.
- Supervising the production of the college academic calendar.
- Facilitating academic events and meetings.
- Producing college timetable.
- Coordinate running and administration of examinations.
- Chairing interviews, student disciplinary committees, disciplinary cases and various committees.
- Co-ordinating internal and external assessment programmes.
- Overseeing the availability of learning space.
- Providing teaching and learning tools and equipment.
- Supervise staff.
- Act as Principal when the Principal is on official absence of duty.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Education Degree with a bias in Educational Administration, plus a post graduate Diploma in Teacher Education or Technical and Vocational Education or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree with a bias in Educational Administration or equivalent.
- PhD is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years at Principal Lecturer level or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of current national development policies, programs and priorities.
- Thorough understanding of the Manpower Planning and Development Act Chapter 28:02 as amended and the Manpower Planning and Development (Tertiary Education Service) Regulations SI 27 of 2025.
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
- Be mature and have good public relations.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly computer literate.
