Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional veterinary advise and diagnostic assistance to walk in customers regarding poultry and ruminant health, including the appropriate recommendation and application of veterinary medicines and vaccines.
- Provide expert over the counter training and guidance to clients on proper product usage, biosecurity, livestock management and the responsible handling or administration of veterinary drugs.
- Ensure all advice regarding treatment regimens, animal health products and veterinary drugs strictly complies with the MCAZ and local veterinary regulations.
- Oversee the safe storage, handling and dispensing and expiration tracking of veterinary medicine or drugs within the retail shop, ensuring strict adherence to cold chain requirements for vaccines.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal communication, retail customer care and communication skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary retail and sales team.
- High results driven and customer- centric .
- Minimum Education level: Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
- Minimum of 1 year work experience specifically within poultry and ruminant practice
- Must hold a valid Certificate of Registration with the Council of Veterinary Surgeons or be fully eligible for immediate registration.
- Must be flexible to relocate to different retail shop locations across Zimbabwe as determined by business operations.
