Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of plant biotechnology, microscopy, aseptic techniques, plant growth regulators
  • Extensive knowledge of gel electrophoresis, DNA extraction, PCR
  • Proficiency with plant biotechnology instruments and modern technologies
  • Preparing and setting up student practicals, participating in research activities
  • Working collaboratively with students and researchers
  • Laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance
  • Additional departmental duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least five (5) Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics, English, and a Science subject
  • National Diploma (ND) in Applied Biological Sciences or related field (Higher National Diploma an advantage)
  • Two (2) years post-training experience in a university laboratory or industry
