Position Overview

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is inviting applications for the position of Director Human Capital, reporting directly to the Commissioner General. This is a strategic leadership role tasked with guiding the Human Capital function in support of ZIMRA’s mandate as a revenue collector and trade facilitator.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in Human Capital management.

• Align HC strategies with ZIMRA’s overall business goals.

• Oversee implementation of HC policies and reward systems.

• Drive digitalisation of HC processes.

• Lead performance management and capacity development.

• Promote a stable industrial relations climate.

• Deliver data-informed human capital analytics for decision-making.

• Advise management and staff on policy interpretation and application.

• Ensure risk reduction within the HC value chain.

Qualifications and Experience

• A first degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a Commercial field.

• A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 10 years working experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level.

Required Competencies

• Proven track record of successful HC interventions.

• Strong ethical conduct and leadership.

• Experience in policy development backed by data.

• Effective stakeholder engagement at board and executive levels.

• Team-oriented leadership style.
