Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the SBU Head
– Broker Business, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1 Source new business, prepare and issue quotes to grow the company’s premium base
2. Client retention and customer relationship management
3. Policy creation and issue in accordance to specifications and/or effecting amendments according to client needs
4. Re insurance placements and acceptance to minimise company exposure to underwritten risks
5. Review and analyse the portfolio to identify progress towards business objectives
6. Timeous processing of entries into relevant systems and ensuring the accuracy of data with relation to both underwriting and aggregate exposures
7 Assist credit control on premium collections and reconciliations
8. Reverse uncollectable premiums relating to the unit
9. Any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications And Experience
Key qualifications, experience and competencies
• A Degree in Risk Management Insurance
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Pure Sirus Icecash and Zinara system is an added advantage
• Strong moral standing
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Be an articulate and effective communicator across all levels of business
• Goal orientated, dependable and strong leadership skills
• Strong analytics skills with the ability to take proactive steps in resolving queries
