UNDERGROUND SECTION ENGINEER
who will be reporting to the UNDERGROUND MANAGER.
Accountabilities of the role
- Ensuring adherence to statutory regulations
- Planning and ensuring that Preventative Maintenance is carried out.
- Attending to engineering problems and engaging sub-contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders when necessary.
- Ensuring that equipment performs consistently in specified operating environments.
- Managing projects
- Handling disciplinary cases and attending to grievances of workers in the section.
- Achieving machine availability targets.
- Preparing training programs for trainees and training subordinates.
- Drafting the budget
- Enforcing compliance with statutory regulations
- Promoting safe working practices
- Any other duties in line with the Section Engineer’s position
