JOB DESCRIPTION
Trojan Mine is a division of Trojan Nickel Mine Limited, which is a 100% subsidiary of Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of UNDERGROUND MANAGER which has arisen in our Mining department.
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the incumbent will have a key role in overseeing underground mining operations,
Main Responsibilities
- Developing and executing the Company’s strategic goals for underground mining operations.
- Ensuring that production targets and profit margins are achieved cost effectively and safely.
- Implementing and maintaining sound people management and development practices.
- Ensuring the safety and health of underground employees.
- Ensuing compliance with all mining and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Mining Engineering
- Full Blasting License
- Sound knowledge of SHE systems.
- At least 5 years’ experience at Underground Manager level
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration is an added advantage
- Knowledge of large-scale trackless mining
- Experience in a computerized maintenance system will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
