Responsible for monitoring and supervising the repairing, fitting and surveying on all fleet tyres of vehicles under Harvesting Department. To perform any other duty as assigned by the superior.
DUTIES
Carry out all tyre maintenance activities to include breakdowns and tyre bay operations such as installation and repair of all vehicles tyres, rims and tubes with the use of hand tools or machines as required.
Carry out fleet tyre surveys, scrap tyre analyses and examines damaged, defective, or flat tyres to determine feasibility of repair, carry out the task and produce reports.
Inspect rims, hubs, studs and lug nuts for excessive wear, cracks, bead damage; tread condition and other indications of improper wheel alignment or impending tyre, wheel, axle related failures.
Ensuring safety on tyre bay.
REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate trade certification in a tyre maintenance/management related discipline.
At least 2 years in the field.
Previous experience in the agricultural and heavy equipment industry will be added advantage.
Ability to read and write.
Those with relevant skills and experience will also be considered.
