JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the post of Treasurer.
Major responsibilities
- Advise council on financial matters
- Preparation, implementation and effective monitoring of the council budget in terms of the RDC Act and the council regulations.
- Maintain a computerized accounting system and produce timely monthly management accounts
- Ensure that proper financial records are maintained in accordance with International Public Sector Training Standards
- Timely preparation of financial statements for Council
- Administering Council grants, donations and revenues
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree from a recognised university in Accounting or
Finance/holder of full CIA/CIS/CIMA, - Minimum of 5 years experience in local government with 3 years at Management level.
- A Master’s Degree in relevant field is an added advantage
- At least 35 years old and mature
- A citizen of Zimbabwe
- A clean criminal record
- A clean record of service within the local government fraternity
- Clean class 4 driver’s licence
