Responsible for the day to day management of the transport department.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Responsible for vehicle inspections, tracking, servicing and maintenance
• Ensuring compliance with relevant bodies e.g., Automobile Association of Zimbabwe
• Facilitating and responsible for Drivers’ licence disk vetting, Defensive Drivers Certificates, Drivers’ medicals road tests, vehicle recoveries (in case of a breakdown or road traffic accident).
• Enforcement of Vehicle and Fuel Policies
• Maintaining accurate administrative records.
• Identifying operational issues. potential problems and opportunities.
• Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
• Appraising staff performance and also taking disciplinary measures when required.
• Preparation of weekly & monthly reports
• Any other duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications And Experience
• A degree/diploma in Transport and Logistics or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in working in a similar role
• Great attention to detail and a team player
• Effective communication skills
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Effective time management skills
