Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented individuals to fill the position of Transport Manager that has arisen within a Beverage Manufacturing firm

Responsibilities

Oversee availability of trucks to meet sales requirements
Monitor quality of service by own and hired vehicles
Ensure timely turn-around of delivery trucks
Ensure on-time dispatching activities from warehouse to customers and avoid delivery delays
Promote and enforce repair and maintenance activities
Ensure compliance of transporters to procedures and oversee renewal of leases and licenses.
Review fuel efficiency & utilisation weekly
Oversee operational control of GPS trackers and Fuel monitors in vehicles

Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Minimum of 2 year’s work experience in a management role
Knowledge of the FMCG industry
Knowledge of logistics, transportation and warehouse management
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
