POST G : TRAINEE MARSHALLER x 4
Reports to : Senior Marshaller
Location : Victoria Falls International Airport
*Job Purpose
The position exists to facilitate safe and efficient parking of aircraft, providing apron services and maintaining orderly movement of passengers, ground service equipment and vehicle on the apron.
*Duties and Responsibilities
• Parking and dispatching aircrafts to ensure safe parking of aircrafts, safety of ground operators, passengers and equipment.
• Docking and undocking aircrafts to give safe, efficient and excellent, embarking and disembarking facilities to passengers.
• Enforcement of safety regulations to reduce the rate of accidents and/or incidents with greater margin.
• Liaises with ATC for allocation of parking bays of aircrafts to ensure smooth and efficient airside operations.
• Liaises with the ramp cleaners to ensure good housekeeping and safety of the ramp/apron, aerobridges and ensuring safe and healthy environment.
• Bay inspections and foreign objects removal – for accident prevention of F. O. D. to aircraft.
• Making reports for any incident and or/accident occurring on the ramp for action by the Senior Airside Safety Officer.
*Qualifications and Skills
• 5 “O” Levels including English language, Maths and Science.
• Shall be in the age group of 18 years to 25 years.
• Must have a Clean Class 2 Driver’s Licence.
• Added knowledge of airport function is an added advantage.
