1 JOB TITLE: TRAFFIC TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
2 . REPORTS TO: REGIONAL TRAFFIC SAFETY MANAGER
2.1 PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The position exists to promote a reduction in road traffic crashes that result in loss of life, injury, and damage to property through the provision of road safety interventions around the five pillars of the road safety management system.
2.1 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ . Plans and teaches Road Safety to schoolchildren.
⦁ i. Plans and teaches Road Safety online and radio lessons.
⦁ ii. Teaches Road Safety in communities, schools, traffic training centre,s and corporates.
⦁ v. Carries out Road Safety stakeholder engagements and consultations.
⦁ . Inspects driving schools for compliance to SI 309 of 85.
⦁ i. Markets defensive driving courses to the public and the corporate world.
⦁ ii. Markets the Highway Code, Driver Handbook, Instructors’ Course and Fleet Management courses.
⦁ iii. Conducts Road Safety campaigns at roadsides, in the Media and in the streets.
EDUCATION
⦁ Degree in Transport, Statistics/Mathematics, Civil Engineering, Education, Philosophy Studies, Computing Sciences, Marketing and Environmental Sciences.
⦁ Training and Research an added advantage.
⦁ Teaching experience an advantage.
⦁ ECD studies an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE
⦁ A valid Zimbabwe driver’s license.
⦁ Ability to demonstrate practical driving skills.
⦁ A defensive Driving Certificate is an added advantage.
