Traffic Safety Officer

The following vacancy has arisen and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply

The Traffic Safety Officer will report to Regional Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching the Defensive driving course (DDC)
• Teaching Transport management and fleet control course.
• Planning and teaching rood safety in schools and Tertiary Institutions
• Marketing of defensive driving courses.
• Conducting campaigns through road blocks, Media and street campaigns
• Inspecting driving schools and cooperating agencies.
• Conducting Research to advise and inform the policy makers.
• Writing timeous inspection reports and compiling monthly reports of activities.
• Any other duties as delegated by the Regional Manager

Qualifications, Attributes and Skills

• Degree in Educator or Psychology or Civil Engineering, logistics and Transport.
• Training and Research an added advantage.
• IT knowledge, effective written and spoken communication skills
• Effective organizational/co-ordination skills and ability to handle stress
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Well-groomed and presentable.
