Tongogara Rural District Council is an equal opportunity employer and is inviting applications from skilled and experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to fill in the position that has arisen within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Transporting goods and materials from one location to another.
* Loading and offloading goods and materials as required.
* Ground maintenance using a lawn mower.
* Refuse Collection.
* Performing basic tractor maintenance such as checking and replenishing fluid levels and refueling the tractor.
* Reporting any mechanical problem to the appropriate personnel.
* Conducting inspections of the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure that it is operating properly.
* Can be assigned to drive any office vehicle when not on duty.
* Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
* 2 years of working experience as a Tractor Driver.
* Valid Class 4 Driver’s License.
* Defensive driving certificate.
* Ability to operate earth moving machines is an added advantage.
* Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
* Ability to drive for extended periods of time and in various weather conditions.
* Physically fit.
* Candidates must be at least 30 years of age and above.
