Organization Name: Chipinge Town Council. Job Title: TOWN POLICE × 8 – GRADE 4 (REPORTING TO THE TOWN POLICE SERGEANT). Role Purpose: Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and task-oriented persons to fill the following positions that have arisen in Council.
Key Responsibilities
- To enforce council by-laws.
- To guard and protect council premises and property.
- To investigate/detect crime involving Council.
- To facilitate free passage and movement on roads, streets, pavements to public.
- To provide escort duties.
- To collect revenue from ranks, vendors/hawkers timely and submit to the revenue clerks.
- To arrest illegal vendors/hawkers from undesignated areas.
- To handover all arrest persons for any criminal offence to the Zimbabwe Republic Police as soon as possible.
- Maintain law and order at all civic functions.
- To participate actively in civic functions.
- To carry out any other security duties assigned in line with organizational goals.
Requirements
- 3 O Levels.
- Certificate in Security Services from a recognized institution.
- 22-40 years of age.
- A citizen of Zimbabwe.
- Strictly no criminal record.
- Physically fit.
- Experience in security guarding is an added advantage.
