Applications arc invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the vacant position that has arisen within Council.
VACANCY: TOWN ENGINEER/DIRECTOR OF WORKS
GRADE : 15
Reports to the Town Secretary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES,
1. To superintend the Engineering Service Department.
2. Budget control for Engineering department
3. Service the works, roads and planning committee.
4. Approve building plans and development control
5. Perform any other official council duties that may be assigned by the Town Secretary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE,
❖ Degree in Civil Engineering or Water and Civil Engineering
❖ Masters’ degree is an added advantage
❖ Membership ofZimbabwe Institute of Engineers is a must
❖ At least 5 years’ experience at a manager in a local authority environment
❖ Should be at least 35 years of age.
❖ Should be possession of clean class 4 Driver’s license
